Carrington Mortgage Services deliberately lied to XXXX stating that I had surrendered the deed to my property to them in leiu of a foreclosure and that my home was in the process of being liquidated. They refused to correct the error on my credit report when asked to do so on XX/XX/2021 even though their customer service dept verified that I was entitled to a temporary forebearance due to my application for Mortgage Assistance not being able to be completed due to a COVID19 issue. COURTS were closed due to executive order, keeping me from being able to submit records to Carrington and the FHA needed for my loan modification application to be completed and processed. In addition this change that is saying my property is set to be liquidated was made as a scare tactic to get me to fork over money when I am not to have anything done to me regarding any foreclosure, until XX/XX/2021. The moratoriums on evictions and foreclosures are in place until then. This false reporting, etc. was made in XX/XX/2021. As a result of this situation, I had to pay {$750.00} in attorneys fees, in order to have a lawyer get involved just to remove errant info from a credit report.
