During the summer of 2020 I was experiencing a temporary shortfall of cash due to Covid-19 related shutdowns. I took out the following cash advances on my Chase credit card at a Chase branch bank : XX/XX/XXXX - {$500.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$1500.00}, XX/XX/XXXX - {$1500.00}. I was told at the time by the branch teller that if I paid it off right away that I would avoid the interest. I paid {$2000.00} of on XX/XX/XXXX and an additional {$1500.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. They did not apply any of that money to the high interest cash advance. I tried to resolve it through Chase Credit Card Customer Service twice. The last time I spoke to supervisor XXXX XXXX and was informed that I paid it too early - it had not registered in the system yet despite the fact that I was given contrary information from the teller. She informed me there was nothing she could do. I have paid approximately {$600.00} in cash advance fees - because I tried to do the responsible thing, in the height of COVID-19 economic crisis. I have attached a record of the advances, the interest paid on the advances and the payments I made to pay them off. Thank You.
