On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a payment to cover my XX/XX/XXXX payment. I made it through Chases automated system as I have done since XXXX of XXXX. I used the same account information and the automated system said do you want to use the same account ending in XXXX. I said yes, got my confirmation number and thought everything was fine. I went to pay my XX/XX/XXXX payment through the automated system and it asked me for my full checking info. I thought it odd and spoke with a representative before going further and they told me my payment I made on XX/XX/XXXX never went through. I had no knowledge or notification prior to this. The representative stated from Chase apologized profusely and said it was Chases error and would NOT be reported to the credit bureaus. I paid both XXXX and XXXX at that time. Now, through a credit alert I have, Ive found out they did in fact report me delinquent to the bureaus. I called today to speak with someone and spoke with XXXX and then a supervisor XXXX. XXXX tells me that the bank account information I have been using in their automated system for over a year and have been confirming ONLY the last 4 on their system has magically changed and it somehow had XXXX listed in the beginning of the account #. That because of this it was not THEIR error and could not remove. If I had entered the entire account #, I could see this but nothing changed and I confirmed the last 4 that they maintained on file for my checking account. So NOTHING changed. I feel this was reported inaccurately and has caused me harm as a consumer.
