On XX/XX/XXXX I booked a flight from XXXX to XXXX through the Ultimate Rewards program of Chase using XXXX of my rewards points. I received confirmation email of the itinerary. One hour later I received another email tell me that my flight was cancelled. I did not know the reason. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called Chase customer service asking them to refund my points. They said that because I initiated the cancellation, they could not refund my points. It is very ridiculous because I didn't initiate the cancellation at all. Because Chase cancelled my trip, I had to get up at midnight on the night of XX/XX/XXXX to book another flight from XXXX to XXXX. However, Chase said they could not refund me the points and they had to follow the policies with the airline companies. I spent 70 minutes talking with Chase customer representative and could not solve the issue. They just kept saying I initiated the cancellation, which I did not. It is unbelievable!
