On XX/XX/XXXX Chase bank placed a HOLD on checking account funds in the amount of {$920.00}. They can give no explanation why. They can't tell me specifically who requested the hold or who at the bank entered the hold ... only the supposed comments which various departments there are disputing the reason for the hold. The HOLD is in effect until XX/XX/XXXX, which I'm told is simply unheard of, cuz, c'mon ... we'll all be dead by then. We have zero documentation to provide for this amount. It just randomly showed up on XX/XX/XXXX as a hold on the account and we can't go under the {$920.00} amount or it causes the account to overdraw. Over the past 2 years I've inquired in person at the local bank branch multiple times starting when my elderly mom added me to this account to assist her. It's a total pass the buck and instructed to " call this XXXX # '' dealing with them. I've inquired via online meetings but after several meetings, the representative assisting dropped off the face of the earth unable to resolve it within their organization. I've inquired by multiple phone calls. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I spoke with personnel in the following departments : Customer Service. HOLD Dept. Decedent Dept. Each one tells me something different and literally passed me back and forth between those departments for 2 hours ending with claims that a supervisor or specialist getting back with me. Usually they just disconnect me so at least is was a successful series of denials of responsibility this go around.
