Consumer Narrative

I bank with Bank of America ; I started with {$2200.00}. On XX/XX/2021, the mortgage company withdrew {$2200.00}. By the end of XX/XX/2021, my account still had {$42.00} ; According to Bank of America, to combat a pending transaction of {$57.00} that didn't post until XX/XX/2021, they decided to charge me an overdraft fee even though I had an available balance of {$42.00}. My available balance on XX/XX/2021 ( Friday ) was {$1300.00}, and they pulled a pending transaction of {$57.00} ; they also drew a {$35.00} overdraft fee on XX/XX/2021. Even though there were available funds, and my account didn't have a negative balance, they informed me that it isn't possible to take off the overdraft fee. I spoke with XXXX and XXXX, Manager ID XXXX. Them charging me an overdraft fee for a pending transaction is by far the craziest banking issue I have ever run into and is just another way for banks to capitalize on hard-working American people.
