I have 3 years of impeccable credit history with multiple types of accounts and no late payments and have an income of over XXXX a year and was declined for " insufficient information '' on my credit report after applying for a Chase Sapphire Reserve. No documents or verification was requested, no contact from Chase to me about the application besides when I called to check the status. I asked for further clarification on what " information '' was lacking as my credit is essentially perfect, and was told that was the reason for decline, nothing further could be done, and no further information was available. The representative did not bother to review my application manually and even with my insistence that I have plenty of documentation to support my ability to pay including the fact that I run XXXX through credit cards monthly was ignored and dismissed. I had planned to apply for this card knowing it would do damage to my credit reports, yet was left with no options for reconsideration and no further information on " what is wrong '' except a blanket vague statement with no granularity. Being that the representative was so dismissive of me, and gave me no options although multiple sources say there are other avenues, I feel I may have been XXXX against for my XXXX as my voice has strong effeminate characteristics and the representative just seemed to ignore everything I said and just say the same thing over and over again, it felt dehumanizing. I am not just a number I am a person and I have done work for this process and to be left with being treated like garbage, feeling attacked for my identity, and with no resolve, makes me upset and aggravated.
