In late XXXX I received an automated e-mail from Home Depot asking if I recently made a large purchase using my Home Depot credit card, I replied no and called the next day to say it was not me. They told me not to worry about those charges and sent me a new card which was also hacked, I received a statement for XXXX XXXX. Since none of these purchases was made by me I called their fraud department and explained the situation. Their response was that my drivers license was used when these purchases were made which is impossible since it never left my possession. They requested a copy of my License which I sent them. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter informing me that I was responsible for these charges. on XX/XX/XXXX I received a statement for over XXXX XXXX. I did not pay even the minimum because these charges are not my responsibility and now my credit is getting hurt for no payment including late fees. I have had zero luck trying to dispute this with Citibank ( they run Home Depots credit cards ).
