On Sunday XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX- I had paid my Best Buy/Citibank credit card in full. After that decided to file for a credit increase online on their site due to my frequent use of the card. The following webpage ask for the standard information and I'd clicked submit. Shortly after I received a notification stating I had an hard inquiry from XXXX. Shortly after I immediately contacted Best Buy credit services customer service and explained the situation. I'd told them that if I was informed that there was going to be a hard inquiry, I would had passed on going forward on filing for the credit increase. They was unfortunately of no help and stated it was policy. The following business day I contacted XXXX and was told to the get a letter of the deletion from the company who pull the hard inquiry. Once again Best Buy/Citibank was of no help at all. A XXXX representative told me the only way going forward was to file an FTC complaint and file a police report.
