I am submitting this complaint because of how long my closing process has taken through First Citizens Bank. I originally submitted my contract on XX/XX/2021 at First Citizens Bank located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, VA. I was told I would close on this property in 60-70 days. I was told that I would close by the end of XXXX, then XXXX and now we are almost at the end of XXXX, 91 days from when I turned in my application and contract to the mortgage lender. The current owner has extended the contract once until XX/XX/2021, and is becoming very impatient, as am I. I am very displeased with this process and I hope it does not cost me the purchase of this house. I have reached out continuously to my lender in XXXX and my loan processor located in XXXX, SC, but they have not been helpful as this process continues to be strung along with no solutions to close in a timely matter. I have sent in all requested documentation in a timely matter, always right after it is requested. So I would like an explanation as to why we are 91 days from the start of this process and would appreciate a solution as soon as possible so I can close on this property before the contract addendum expires once again.
