I made a check deposit for a little over XXXX into one of my checking accounts at Bank of America on XX/XX/21. Before signing the check I asked both the teller and the bank manager to tell me how long of a hold would be put on this deposit. I understand it takes a few days to clear at most! They said it would be a few days but wouldnt know until i deposit it. So I did deposit it and I was given a printed ticked with the split hold release dates and times. XXXX on XX/XX/21 @ XXXX and XXXX on XX/XX/21 @ XXXX. I called the bank that the check was drawn from. ( Which is a family trust THAT MY NAME IS ON by the way, not to mention relatives that have worked at this branch ) and verified the check has been cleared and money has left the account. Next I called B.O.A customer service where XXXX from Montana told me that its because the original bank wont release the fund so they had to extend it. It will be in my account a week from tomorrow. There is nothing they can do and its not BOAs fault. Well the teller and manager at the depositing branch lied, the Notice of Hold I received with my deposit lied and Customer Service phone agent lied. I will be contacting XXXX next and then my Lawyer. This has to be illegal. I was scheduled to put a deposit on a new home today which is why I asked the bank manager when my deposit will clear. The homeowner wont wait so I lost the house to the next offer who had deposit in hand. I hope your happy BOA!!
