On XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX, after multiple unsuccessful attempts to contact a merchant, I submitted 4 total disputes about charges to my Bank of America credit card, which had been double-billed both to my BofA and XXXX cards. A few days later, I got an alert on XXXX XXXX that my credit score had dropped by about 20 points. I checked my XXXX credit report online and it showed a comment : " Account in dispute -- reported by subscriber ( fcba ). '' That's just not true -- I disputed a few charges, not the whole account. After many calls to BofA in which they displayed a total inability to correct a mistake they made, I tried calling XXXX. I didn't want to dispute this account through their online process because the account already is in dispute, and after much XXXX I also wasn't able to find a number to call to file a dispute. XXXX XXXX online instructions tell you to call the number at the bottom of the credit report they send to you, which you ... have to pay for, apparently? I wasn't able to find any such option available when viewing my credit report online. This is just absolute failure, a chain made entirely out of weak links. BofA doesn't have an option internal to their organization to resolve this error, they point you to XXXX which makes it nigh on impossible to get anything fixed.
