Hello, I booked a place with XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX, 2020 with confirmation code of XXXX ( address of the house : XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX. Before heading out to the rented house, I contacted the host to make sure that she had A/C as government just issued an Excessive Heat Warning. XXXX, the host, said that they did not have a/c. I asked if we can come another week, any other time and she said no, citing her cancellation policy. She suggested that I cancel the trip by myself, and if somebody re-books it for the days I made a reservation for, she will reimburse me. I cancelled the reservation per her suggestion. Another family booked the place for 3 nights, and when I asked XXXX to reimburse me the full amount booked for 3 nights by another family, she said she is withdrawing her offer and NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE. It is unethical to be charging 2 families for the same time period and making money off of both families while host 's house does NOT meet physical needs of the guests during a EXCESSIVE HEAT WAVE WARNING. If I pay XXXX $ dollars - I expect livable, comfortable accommodations, not a heat XXXX with no a/c for 7 days, and I was deeply disappointed that XXXX XXXX sided with this unethical host. Please, review this. Thank you
