Someone opened an account with XXXX under my name without my knowledge. The account was placed in collections about eight months ago, balance owed XXXX. I filed a dispute with the three credit reporting agencies and the collection was removed from all three ( XXXX was removed XX/XX/XXXX ). First notification of this debt was received from XXXX XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ) Second notification was from XXXX XXXX ( XX/XX/XXXX ) Third notification received from Afni ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I dont understand how the same debt can be handled by three different collection agencies nor do I understand or think its fair that every time I fight to have the debt removed it is given to a different collection agency and the process starts all over again. This is an absolute violation of my consumer rights.
