There was a nationwide issue last week where XXXX who is the parent company of my mortgage company XXXX XXXX withdrew my mortgage payment of {$1100.00} four times in one day for a total of {$4700.00} in unauthorized charges after the initial correct mortgage payment was made days before. The main issue is that my banking institution CHASE bank allowed the unauthorized withdrawals to take place even though we don't have auto bill pay for our mortgage payment. So each month we go in and authorize the payment each time we pay our mortgage. I was out of town on a business trip and had no access to my money for the entire day. I would like to investigate how and Why Chase allowed for unauthorized payments to be taken out of my account, especially when I do not have auto bill pay for my mortgage payment.
