I received a billing statement from Bank of America on my XXXX Credit card with payment due on XX/XX/2021. It had a late fee of {$25.00} plus an interest charge of XXXX for a total of XXXX. On XX/XX/2021. I called up the company and asked them to remove the fee since I didn't get the prior bill in the mail. The USPS has been having problem delivering all of my mail. Bank of America said that it would not eliminate the fee ( even though I have ALWAYS paid my balance in full and on time while I have had this card ). They said that they didn't receive a notice from USPS that the mail was undeliverable. I told them I can not speak for the USPS but that I didn't get the bill, so I would I know to pay it or to advise them that I hadn't received it. The representative at Bank of America contacted her supervisor on my request to eliminate the fee. That supervisor declined. I told them this was unfair and unreasonable. I told them that I have always paid in full and on time, and they still did not eliminate it. I requested a closure of my account. I would like a refund of this fee. I found that Bank of America has been unfair and unreasonable during this period of Covid 19 when mail delivery has not always worked. I told Bank of America this and I told them that I would be reporting this your office and the consumer protection office or AG 's office ( whichever is relevant ) in the State of Florida. Please advise what other information you need from me, and how I can obtain this refund. I asked them three times to remove this fee and they went two additional supervisors to try and remove the fee. They all declined. Please advise.
