someone hacked into my XXXX and created a Xoom account, I have never had/used xoom prior to the incident that happened on XX/XX/2021. someone wired money to themselves in XXXX in the amount of {$240.00}. I did not authorize the transaction XXXX. When I went to check my email someone created this Xoom account at XXXX XXXX PST and made the transfer at XXXX XXXX pst. By the time I went to log in and change my password this transaction had gone through I tried calling Xoom and was on hold for over an hour and still no answer I have called multiple times since then but its the same thing. I have emailed them and they denied my claim as a fraud because " The transaction ( s ) claimed as unauthorized are consistent with historical records ''. But I don't know what historical records they're referring to when I have never used this company and I didn't have an account through Xoom. I currently live in Washington and the login for Xoom was first made in Arizona. After XXXX I saw that many others had this situation happen to them as well. I am now getting email that they're trying to collect a debt in the amount of {$240.00}
