I recently had a checking account with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank. It was opened XX/XX/2021 and was closed shortly after, abruptly and with out notice of any kind, on XX/XX/2021. There was a total balance of XXXX in the account at the time of the closing. This money that i have worked so hard for, was suddenly taken by the very institute that i had entrusted it with. I encountered great difficulties on behalf of Chase Bank and its associates when i attempted to inquire as to why my checking account had been closed and why my money has not been returned to me. Their response was that it was a business decision on behalf of Chase Bank to close my account and discontinue our business together, and they could say no more to that matter. Fair enough. Frankly, i had no intention of continuing any business between Chase bank and myself, either. The unprofessionalism and lack of respect for the private property of their customer has left a bad taste in my mouth, so to speak. I know well enough not to do business with companies that behave in such a manner. My main concern is my money that they have kept from me to this day. When i inquired as to why they had taken and continually refused to return my funds, they responded firstly, that the money was issued from the Unemployment Department of the govt, so therefore it had been returned to them and the bank no longer had the funds. I responded with, first of all the money was not issued by the unemployment department, that is completely inaccurate. Of course they did not listen and continually tried to tell me where MY money had come from. So i called the Unemployment Department and asked them to verify that the money was not from them. They not only verified that the money was not from them but that they had not received any money from Chase Bank. Even though Chase Bank had specifically stated that my money was " returned '' to the Unemployment Department, that fact is, the money never left their hands. When i called and told them that i had spoken to the Unemployment Department, they relentlessly and continually stated that they did not have the money and that it was in fact returned to the bank accounts they were transferred from, even though a a lot of the money had came into the account as cash deposits and that they could not tell me which banks the money was sent back to. The very last time i spoke to them, they had once again changed their story and stated that they did have the money the whole time and that they were keeping a hold on the funds during which they will undergo a verification process. I am running out of patience, and i have been very patient and cooperative with them, only to be treated with, to be blunt, downright disrespect. I simply want these games to end, and i want my money to be rightfully returned to me.
