Friday, XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to withdraw money from my Robinhood investment account. My withdrawal was denied, then at XXXX I receive a text from Robinhood that my credit card account is currently under review and all transactions will be declined. I log into the credit card app to see that it says there was suspected fraud, my account is under review. I looked for a number to call, but the way they have it set up, you have to request a call back. I spoke to someone at XXXX that day who basically interrogated me about my financials as if I was a criminal. I was not given any details as to why my account is frozen. I was told someone would contact me within 3 to 7 business days regarding my account. I have never missed a payment and never went negative. I request another call from Robinhood support today, XX/XX/year> and receive a call at XXXX. After a few minutes the support rep tells me that since I submitted my ID and verification so I was going to be cleared. I advised that I had not submitted anything since the account was frozen, the verification occurred at time of opening the account. He stated that he could escalate the request and I would be called back. I demanded to speak to his supervisor so I could receive the information I was requesting. He stated that they could not speak to me now, I had to wait for their call so I ended the call, Due to the lack of information provided to me as a customer, I have decided to end my dealings with the company as they have lost my trust. I have money and assets tied up and frozen without any just cause presented. Also, I have been waiting 30 minutes in their chat support to receive assistance in closing my account. I have screenshots showing the rep entering the chat, I present my request, they put up a message that I am being transferred and that is where I have been for the past 30 minutes ( nearly an hour now ). This company employs shady business practices and I will be alerting anyone and everyone to never do business with them. They require you to pay for a membership to be eligible for a credit card. To cancel the membership, you have to cancel the credit card and the only window by which to do so is through their gatekeeping support channel in the app.
