In XXXX Arbor Professional Services ( APS ) began reporting an auto-related account on my credit report, claiming I made payments to them during XXXX. I never made these payments and have never had an account with APS. APS submitted documents to XXXX that looked like they came from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, even though XXXX confirmed that they did not send these documents and that I am not associated with APS. My real XXXX account, which ended in XXXX, was closed after a write-off and was never assigned or transferred to APS. The APS account they reported ( ending in XXXX ) is not mine. When I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX, the representative reviewed the APS documents and noted inconsistencies. Due to the misleading information, she instructed me to file an FTC Identity Theft Report. I completed the FTC report and provided supporting documents, including XXXX verification letter and copies of the false APS paperwork. The credit bureaus have since deleted the APS account, but because APS falsely represented themselves using XXXX formatting and submitted fraudulent documents, I am concerned they may attempt to reinsert the account or report it again under XXXX identity. I am filing this complaint to ensure the issue is permanently resolved and to prevent future fraudulent reporting.
