Consumer Narrative

Hello, I deposited a check with a reasonably high value on XX/XX/XXXX in XXXX, CT at Bank of America. When I deposited it, they said some of the funds would be available the next day, XX/XX/XXXX, but no money was deposited. The rest was supposed to be available on XX/XX/XXXX, but today is XX/XX/XXXX and no money has been deposited. The bank says they need to perform verifications. The funniest part is that it was a check issued directly by the bank of the person who paid me ; there's no way it could be fraudulent when the person goes to the teller and requests a direct check to be issued. And yet, Bank of America is withholding my money. This is disrespectful to the customer. I am very disappointed with this. I know there are rules, but the money hasn't been in my client 's account since the XXXX, and it still hasn't been deposited into my account? This is a joke and a complete lack of respect. Bank of America is getting worse every year and leaving its customers without any support. I haven't received any email about a date change, and I'm still waiting for my money, and Bank of America won't release it. I am very disappointed ; I've had my account for over 10 years, and this is absurd.
