My husband passed away on XX/XX/XXXX and I heard back from XXXX office regarding my income moving forward of $ 3056 Monthly. I knew I would not be able to afford the mortgage payments moving forward and also my other bills such as electric, gas, water etc. I contacted rocket mortgage who told me in order to apply for a loan modification I would have to show one or two payments behind. I did not pay for XX/XX/XXXX. I received a call on XX/XX/XXXX advising me that my application was denied. They never asked me for any proof of my XXXX award letter or bank account, etc. So not sure what they based their denial decision on.
