I had issues with my checking/savings account, the bank wanting proof of citizenship but not notifying me they wanted that and freezing my account. Everything got rebounded. I always like to pay my card every time I am able to and do it frequently. The day before my planned travel outside the country I did a payment to my card of {$200.00} in advance as usual. I traveled out of the country on XX/XX/XXXX and came back on XX/XX/XXXX, at some point I received an email notification that they had issues with my bank and my check was rebounded. It wasnt until I got home that I was able to fix that issue with my checking/savings account. Due to the rebound check, the bank charged me {$30.00} fee for the XXXX attempts they made to cash that payment check I made the day before my travel. After sorting out the mess with my checking/savings account I spoke to my credit card bank several times to get that fee waived. The XXXX time they told me to wait for XX/XX/XXXX to waive that fee that it is when it would show up in the billing. I contacted them on that date and was told to wait another day. I contacted them the next day and the fee waive was declined. At the end of billing, another fee for taxes got added onto that statement which I havent seen that happen to my account in the past, and apparently its due to not paying. I have always made my payments on time and even paid more. I stopped making payments due to the issues with my checking/savings account and waiting until the previous payment I made waiting for that {$200.00} to show in either account and the {$30.00} waived. I dont understand the reasoning behind having to pay a fee to the bank because they were trying to charge to my account. Im already paying them to provide me with a service ; Im not paying them to charge me fees every time they need access to my account. I did not authorize to be charged a fee anytime they want access to my account the only authorization I have given is when I make payments to the card the amount stipulated I owed them for using them as a means of transaction.
