My federal student loan ( s ) were serviced by XXXX. Without my consent or prior authorization, XXXX transferred my loan servicing to Advantage and a new servicing account was created in my name. I did not request or approve this transfer, and I was not provided advance notice, written consent documentation, or proof of Department of Education authorization approving the reassignment. After the transfer, Advantage began reporting account information and balances that differed from what had previously been reported. I attempted to obtain clarification and documentation regarding : The legal basis for the transfer Proof of borrower consent Proof of authority to service the loan A complete and accurate loan history and balance The information requested was not provided. Any responses received were incomplete and did not include documentation validating the transfer or the accuracy of the information being reported. As a result, inaccurate and/or unverifiable information has been reported regarding my federal student loans, causing confusion and potential harm to my credit profile.
