Product : Auto Loan or Lease Issue : Trouble getting information or records/ Problem with loan or lien Company : JPMorgan Chase Bank , N.A . I am the borrower on an auto loan held by JPMorgan Chase Bank , N.A . The vehicle was titled in my name, and the loan remained active at all relevant times. Without my authorization or written consent, Chase released the lien on the vehicle at the request of a towing company after the vehicle was sold. I was never notified in advance of the lien release, nor was I provided any documentation supporting Chases decision to release the lien. After learning of this, I submitted a written request asking Chase to provide records and documentation related to : the lien release, the authorization relied upon, communications with the towing company, and the handling of the loan account after the vehicle was sold. Chase failed to respond to my written request. When I followed up by phone, a representative from the lien release department ( XXXX, ID # XXXX ) stated that the bank was under no obligation to provide documentation or records regarding the lien release. Attached are the letters and the XXXX USPS receipts which confirms the letter was received by Chase. As a result of Chases actions, the loan remains outstanding with no collateral, and my family has suffered financial harm. I am requesting that Chase be required to provide a written explanation and all records related to the lien release and loan handling. I am filing this complaint because Chase has refused to provide information that directly affects my financial obligations and rights as a borrower.
