I did not apply for this account, did not sign any physical or digital documents, and did not authorize a hard credit inquiry or the opening of any account. Later that day, I received notifications that a CareCredit card was being shipped and an alert regarding suspected fraudulent activity. I immediately contacted Synchrony Bank and informed them that I did not authorize this account. The bank closed the account after confirming the issue.
