I have been working on my credit as a newcomer to understanding how important it is. While on my XXXX account I came across the " Surge credit card '' as a possible building tool for credit. I applied and I received it. The credit limit was {$750.00}. I used it beginning XX/XX/XXXX. I would get little things. But I didn't want the usage rate to go up so I stopped using it and began just paying on it at the end of XXXX. From that point on all the account shows is me making payments and them sending it back then a charge for sending it back even though I can prove beyond a doubt that the money was there. Then there are the late fees for which I was not late. Now the Balance is {$1000.00} and after explaining to someone who was supposed to be management he says : " Yeah well I can see what happened here and I wish I spoke to you sooner. For now, all that I can say is that the card will be closed on XXXX. XXXX. So, you can just continue to make minimal payments, or you can pay it all. Is there anything that can be done to protect the XXXX people? I even offered to pay the everything minus the ridiculous fees which after talking with them on multiple occasions and hearing nothing concrete to help avoid the situation or even make a proper payment as all the advice hadn't worked, I thought was fair enough. Still, I was told there is nothing I can do. PLEASE ADVISE
