I am writing to file a complaint against CareCredit regarding a lack of disclosure about a promotional period associated with my account. In XX/XX/year>, I applied for and was approved for a CareCredit account through my dental office to finance dental work. I have been making monthly payments on time since the account was opened. Every month, I logged into the CareCredit app on my mobile phone to make my payment, but there was never any information within the app regarding the promotional period. However, in XXXX of this year, I noticed a significant increase in my balance due to accrued interest. Upon reviewing my account, I discovered that I was enrolled in a promotional period where no interest was to be charged for 12 months. After the promotional period ended, I was subjected to a high-interest rate of 32.99 % on the original balance. I was never informed about this promotional period by CareCredit. The welcome packet I received did not contain any information about the promotional period, and there was no mention of it in the CareCredit app, where I made my payments each month.
