End of XXXX account was restricted access for review. XX/XX/year> determined account to be closed and Citi bank sent letter stating any funds due to me ( {$44000.00} checking and savings {$6500.00} ) will be issued in a check by mail once account closing processing is complete XXXX days. XX/XX/year> account closed and stated balance due back is XXXX. XXXX Requested information as to where the funds had gone. Citi bank stated all funds had been returned to all original senders. The Checking account funds were from a loan from family member who has not received anything back. {$6500.00} were a minors funds from a XXXX XXXX mandated Custodial account restricted to use until minor reaches of age. Account has been opened and untouched since XXXX XXXX. Funds were distributed from XXXX firm. Law firm confirmed they have no record of receiving any funds back from Citi bank. Inquired with Citi bank again where they have been sent, due to recipients nor myself have these funds. Told I am not due any further information and funds have been sent to original sender and I can not escalate or know anything further. Account is closed XXXX funds have been determined due back to myself.
