On thanksgiving week, I have been scammed from a suppose Personal Loan assistant they said they where from XXXXXXXX XXXX The account that is in process of closure is my Chase bank, I have been unable to open a checking account at any bank due to a fraud incident that happened on my previous account. I was recently the victim of a scam involving fraudulent check deposits that I did not authorize. As a result, my previous bank closed my account. Since then, I have attempted to open a new checking account at multiple banks, and each bank has declined me without providing a clear explanation or guidance on what I need to do to resolve the issue. I have contacted my previous banks customer service, but they told me I needed to visit a branch. I visited the branch, and I still have not received clear information about what was reported, what systems I am flagged in, or how to fix or dispute the information. I am currently left without a functioning checking account, which is affecting my ability to receive pay, pay bills, and manage daily life. I am requesting help from the CFPB to : 1.
