I have additional information regarding cfpb case complaint id XXXX. On XX/XX/year> I sent Citibank a direct dispute under 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( a ) ( 8 ) and 12 CFR 1022.43 regarding inaccurate and inconsistent credit reporting for Account # XXXX. On XX/XX/year> Citibank responded to my CFPB complaint but failed to address the disputes core issue, accuracy of furnished data. Instead of investigating the discrepancies ( open dates, high credit, limits, payment history ) Citibank treated my notice as a debt-validation request and admitted that a copy of the application is not available. Citibank also stated that because earlier disputes came from the credit bureaus, they responded only to the bureaus and not to me directly, contradicting their obligation to investigate direct disputes. Their response did not include any documentation verifying the data being furnished to XXXX, XXXX, or XXXX and relied solely on prior internal findings. They then placed a Completed Investigation of FCRA dispute consumer disagrees note on my file, which does not remedy the inaccurate reporting.
