On XX/XX/year>, someone used my Citi Bank Credit Card account to initiate a balance transfer to their XXXX XXXX and their XXXX XXXX account. On XX/XX/year>, I discovered the charges and fees which totaled XXXX and called Citi Bank credit card services to dispute the charges. At their suggestion I cancelled the credit card account, and they issued me another card. On XX/XX/year>, I noticed that Citi Bank credit card services had pulled XXXX from my attached payment account without my authorization and in violation of Regulation Z. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Citi Bank customer service to request the funds be put back into my checking account but as of XX/XX/XXXX I have not received the funds, nor have I received any further communication from them. My understanding is that when there is fraudulent activity on your account and you report it the disputed amounts should not be removed from your checking account without authorization, and I am asking for the return of my funds.
