On XXXX XXXX, I tried to make a global transfer from my Citibank checking account, which did not go through. After that, when I tried to access my account, I found out that it was blocked. I did not receive any call, notification or message from Citibank informing this. After calling Citigold dedicated service team, I was informed that my account was under review, which would take from 24 to 48 hours. They did not provide me any further information or number to follow up. I called Citibank again on XXXX XXXX and received the same information. I then went to Citibank branch in NY on XXXX XXXX, where they said that they could not do anything about it. I was not even able to close my account and recover my money. Today I was informed that I should call another number ( Fraud Department ) to confirm my personal data and my recent transactions, which I did. After that, they said that my account was still under review, which would take an extra 24 to 48h to de completed. They could not guarantee if it would be further extended. I asked for written confirmation of this or a recording of the call, which was denied. I still do not have access to my account, I can not make payments or withdraw money or even confirm if my global transfer went through.
