CFPB, I am filing a complaint regarding Mobiloans debt collection practices. When I accessed my Mobiloans customer portal, payment plan options were clearly available for my account. I relied on this and expected to be able to use a payment arrangement to resolve my balance. Shortly afterward, the payment plan options disappeared from the portal, and I was no longer able to set up any payment arrangement. This contradicts what was previously shown to me and creates a misleading and unfair experience. When I contacted Mobiloans about this, they refused to offer a payment plan despite the fact that it had been shown to me in the portal. No explanation was provided for the sudden removal of these options. In addition, Mobiloans debt collection practices have been aggressive. Their tone, communication style, and pressure tactics have made the situation extremely stressful. Instead of working with me in good faithespecially after showing payment plan optionsthey have escalated pressure and refused reasonable alternatives. Why this is a problem : The company displayed payment plan options and then removed them without explanation. I was denied repayment choices that were clearly presented to me. Their aggressive communication and pressure tactics make it difficult to work toward a solution. This behavior may violate CFPB standards around unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices ( UDAAP ).
