I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the recent physical credit card that was mailed to me without my authorization. I previously opened an online PayPal credit account a couple of years ago, but I have never requested or consented to receiving a physical card. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an email from PayPal stating that a credit card had been shipped to me, even though I never requested one. I received the physical credit card on XX/XX/XXXX. I am concerned about the following issues : 1. I did not authorize the issuance of this card. 2. I want to confirm that no new credit account was opened and that there was no hard inquiry on my credit reports. 3. I want to confirm that the card has not been activated by anyone and that no unauthorized charges have occurred. Therefore, I request that PayPal : 1. Deactivate or cancel the mailed physical card immediately. 2. Provide written confirmation that no new account was opened and that no credit check ( hard pull ) was performed. 3. Investigate why this card was issued without my consent and ensure this does not happen again. Please treat this as an urgent matter. I expect a written response confirming the above actions.
