Complaint : I entered into two solar lease agreements ( Contract XXXX XXXX and XXXX ) with XXXX/Sunnova/XXXX for solar systems that were represented as properly sized for my home and capable of lowering my electricity costs. This was false. The first system ( XXXX ) was undersized and never met my energy needs. Instead of correcting this, the company sold me a second system in XXXX with another XXXX lease, increasing my monthly costs. Despite paying {$300.00} every month, I continue to receive XXXX XXXX bills. In XX/XX/XXXX, one of the systems failed and I received a bill of {$180.00}, while still paying the full lease amount. My XXXX XXXX bills show I paid {$6000.00} for electricity from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. If I had no solar panels, I would have paid {$3600.00} for the same period. I have suffered {$2300.00} in direct financial losses. The company refuses to adjust payments, correct system sizing, compensate for losses, or provide meaningful resolution. The contracts contain absolute and unconditional payment clauses that eliminate consumer defenses, which is unfair and abusive. I request contract cancellation, removal at no cost, and full financial relief for the documented losses.
