I was a victim of identity theft in XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX while a customer of Chase bank. I was actively on the phone with the fraud department requesting that they secure my account and,, while on the phone, they allowed several more transfers to occur. Chase responded by arbitrarily closing my account after I specifically asked them to refrain from such action. Chase bank held onto my remaining funds for several weeks prior to retuning it to me. This morning at XXXXXXXX XXXX I contacted Chase bank customer service to obtain either a letter in hard copy via XXXX mail service OR an email verification that my account was closed in XXXX due to fraud. That is all. Verification. I contacted customer support who forwarded me to a representative from the fraud department, who sent me back to customer service. That representative sent me into a branch and that representative refused to assist. I called the branch manager and he was rude and condescending and would not answer my question when I asked who was over him. He indicate4d that he did not have any supervisor or alternative person in charge of him. I then called customer service again and a young man named XXXX put me on hold and was going to get the requested information emailed to me and while I was on hold another representative came on the phone and the process started all over and she put me on hold, only to return and tell me to go back into a branch. I am now almost two hours into trying to get this and havent received any information. I NEED THIS STATEMENT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT!!!! How can I obtain this information?
