I am filing a separate complaint because Synchronys payment allocation system prevented me from paying off my deferred-interest promotion before it expired. I had two active promotional plans ( a XXXX deferred-interest promo and a XXXX financed promo ). Synchrony automatically applied my payments to the newer XXXX plan instead of the XXXX promo that was nearing expiration, and the company provided no clear disclosure that payments would be allocated this way. The dashboard combines all promotions into one balance and does not show how payments are applied or how much remains on each promotion. There was no way for me to manually direct payments to the expiring promo or monitor whether the balance was being reduced. Because Synchrony misallocated my payments, the XXXX deferred interest promo expired without being paid down, which directly caused a retroactive interest of {$4100.00} on an initial purchase amount of {$5300.00} to be added. This was the result of Synchronys system design, not any lack of payment on my part. I am requesting that Synchrony correct this payment allocation failure and reverse the retroactive interest that resulted from it
