My name is XXXX XXXX and I am filing this complaint regarding inaccurate information reporting on my credit file. I share the same first and last name as my father, and it appears that multiple accounts belonging to my father have been incorrectly reported under my credit profile. I have never opened, authorized, or been associated with these accounts. These items do not belong to me and are the result of a mixed file due to name similarity. The inaccurate reporting is negatively affecting my credit score, my ability to obtain financing, and is causing unnecessary hardship. I have attempted to resolve this issue directly with the credit bureaus and furnishers, and I have provided documentation proving my identity and showing that these accounts do not belong to me. Despite this, the inaccurate reporting continues. I am requesting that the CFPB review this situation and require the credit bureaus and furnishers to properly investigate and permanently remove all accounts, inquiries, and information that do not belong to me.
