My ex husband who Ive been divorced from over one year received a call and a voicemail about a possible debt for me. When I called I was advised they mailed documents 2 weeks ago to an address I no longer reside at. I do have mail forwarding that began greater than 30 days ago. They advised I can not receive any further contact via mail as its not allowed to mail me documents and the only correspondence I could receive was by email using XXXX if I agreed to pay otherwise I was subject to attorneys fees for a lawsuit being filed. Since I didnt know what debt or company they were referring to I refused to pay until I received proof and they continued that I would just end up going to court because they legally can not send more than one copy and e-copies are only for promised to pay. I was also not allowed to update my address for any future correspondence
