I took out a loan with LendingPoint ( Loan # XXXX ) for {$6800.00}. The account is listed as Completed, and I have already paid {$4700.00} toward this loan. Soon after, I consolidated my debts through a debt management program with XXXX. LendingPoint is the only creditor that did not accept XXXX proposed payment plan. Despite this, they agreed to accept payments directly. For the past two years, I have repeatedly contacted LendingPoint to work out the matter with XXXX. Each time, they stated they would cooperate but never followed through. On XX/XX/year>, I reached out to XXXX again to resolve the issue. XXXX attempted to contact LendingPoint, but no one at LendingPoint would speak with them. I then called LendingPoint directly, explained the situation, and emphasized that the matter needed to be resolved between LendingPoint and XXXX. LendingPoint still failed to take action. After these attempts, I checked my LendingPoint account and found that the balance now shows {$4000.00} owed, despite my previous payments totaling {$4700.00}. My husband is experiencing the same issue : he has paid {$5700.00} on his {$8000.00} loan, but LendingPoint is now claiming he owes {$8000.00}. This is unacceptable. LendingPoint continues to collect monthly payments while adding fees without proper notice. If not for these discrepancies, both loans would nearly be paid off by now.
