As a prize, my wife received a Gift Card Debit XXXX with a balance of {$50.00}. I used the card on XXXX XX/XX/year> for an online order with XXXX. After I made the order, I checked the balance at XXXX per the instructions on the back of the card ( I also registered the card ). I saw the pending charge with XXXX. On XXXX XX/XX/year>, XXXX notified me the order was declined. When I logged back into www.giftcardmall.com/mygift to check the balance, I could not get through, but I was referred to giftcards.com. I was able to get through at giftcards.com and learned that after I had checked the balance and registered the card on XXXX XX/XX/year>, a charge was made in the amount of {$49.00} to Gloss * XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, a charge I did not authorize nor recognize. I then XXXX giftcards.com and learned that there have been many complaints of gift cards being stripped of their value once the card has been registered. I do believe www.giftcardmall.com/mygift and giftcards.com are the same company as the former refers to the latter.
