I took out a student loan for grad school and began repayment in XX/XX/XXXX. I achieved 120 months of qualifying employment in an eligible federal facility in XX/XX/XXXX. I requested forbearance buyback because, due to the SAVE program 's mandatory administrative forbearance, at 120 months of qualifying employment, I only had XXXX qualifying payments. I am ill and attempting to retire from federal service, but can not afford to retire until my loan is forgiven. I have sufficient funds to buy the forbearance back if someone would just let me do so. Ive been waiting close to a year, and all XXXX or Mohela will say is that my request is valid and has been escalated ( this was XX/XX/XXXX. ). Now, repayments have forcibly commenced, with my monthly payment nearly three times what it was on SAVE. My XXXX payment Will be extracted on XXXX XXXX, a full year after I applied for forbearance buyback. XXXX XXXX, I need to retire, and XXXX trapped by bureaucracy. Ive begged for resolution from Mohela, my senator, and The White House. Please help.
