Consumer Narrative
My elderly mom ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and I opened an account at Citi Bank on XXXX XXXX XXXX, in XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX in XX/XX/year>. We had just secured a large home loan so that we could do repairs/renovations at her home. We spoke with the rep at the bank and were concerned the funds would not be there in time for the interest rate promotion they we're running. We were then advised the money was received and we were all good. The problem is we never received XXXX cent of interest on {$320000.00}. The bank said we put it in the checking and it would have to go into savings. That was never told to us.
