I am submitting this complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) under 15 U.S.C. 1692c, which restricts communication with consumers in connection with debt collection. XXXX has continued to contact me regarding a debt allegedly owed to Citibank, account ending in XXXX, despite my prior dispute and written notice to cease communication. Additionally, XXXX reporting contains inaccuracies, including : The date opened of XX/XX/2025, which appears to be a re-aged debt, in violation of FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 5 ). The balance remains listed as {$2600.00}, marked 0 % paid, which is contradictory and misleading. The status is repeatedly updated as collection each month, which unfairly damages my credit score. I have already disputed this account through the credit bureaus, which now include the notation Completed investigation of FCRA dispute consumer disagrees. XXXX has not provided proper validation of the debt nor documentation proving ownership or the original contract with Citibank. I am requesting that the CFPB investigate XXXX for : Violations of 15 U.S.C. 1692c ( c ) ( continued communication after written notice to cease ).
