I paid off my credit card in XXXX before moving to XXXX XXXX Colorado to care for a family member with ongoing XXXX as the POA. We left CA on XX/XX/XXXX and my credit card was paid off. Due to the tremendous amount of things my husband and I had to do to address the medical issues for our aunt with XXXX, hospitalization, various doctor 's appointments, etc., I didn't check my credit card knowing I had paid it off. Then I checked all my credit cards to make my usual monthly payments and noticed Surge credit card maxed out with charges from XXXX California in gas stations, XXXX, XXXX and others and for a moment I thought I had lost my card and someone used it and I immediately called to dispute the charges and replace my card. But I ended up finding it in my purse and then I checked my husband 's account and his Surge credit card got used the same way and he also called to dispute the fraudulent charges. The credit card company responded a couple of days later saying the charges were legit so we closed the accounts and asked to talk to the escalation department to continue with the dispute and they asked us to file a claim here, which we are both doing. We checked our credit and other credit cards, but only the SURGE master cards were fraudulently used. We have the cards in our procession, so we don't know how they used them in XXXX XXXX without the physical cards. 2 accounts were hacked, my husband 's XXXX XXXX XXXX and mine, XXXX XXXX XXXX
