I was contacted via phone on Sunday XX/XX/year> about an application for a store credit card. The credit card was through citi bank. I did not put in an application. I had to be transferred several times to get to the right department. They voided my application for the credit card. They said that there was an application in my name and my social security number. They forwarded the issue to the credit bureau and flagged the application as being fraudulent. I did not receive any email from the company that I am aware of. I received an email notification from XXXX XXXX about a hard inquiry on my credit report for this fraudulent application. I want this hard inquiry pulled from my credit report. Ive had this same issue 2-3 times previously this year and last year.
