Dear CFPB, I am submitting this complaint regarding repeated and harassing phone calls from a debt collection agency. The debt collector in question is : Company Name : [ XXXX XXXX XXXX ] Phone Number ( XXXX ) : [ XXXX ) XXXX ] This company has been contacting me excessively by phone regarding an alleged debt. Despite my requests that they stop calling, the collection agency continues to place repeated calls to my phone number, causing stress and disruption to my daily life. I believe this behavior is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), which prohibits debt collectors from engaging in harassment, including : 15 U.S.C. 1692d ( 5 ) : Causing a phone to ring or engaging in repeated or continuous telephone calls with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass. 15 U.S.C. 1692c ( c ) : Requiring debt collectors to cease communication if requested in writing. I am requesting that the CFPB investigate this companys conduct and take enforcement action to ensure compliance with federal law. I also request that this company be instructed to stop calling me immediately and only communicate with me in writing going forward. Attached, please find copies of my call logs and any written correspondence for your review. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
