Today, XX/XX/2025 approximately XXXX XXXX I was at the checkout at Marshals located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX. The checkout staff asked if I wanted to be part of the reward program, at first I said no because I was in a rush, then she said it only needed 2 information and it was fast, I said ok and filled the information that she asked, she completed my purchase and with my receipt there was a paper with the credit card information. At any moment was mentioned to me that a credit card account was being opened, I was mislead to think it was a store rewards program only, I would have never authorized a credit card account to be opened. I called Synchrony Financial at XXXX XXXX at the number XXXX to request that my application was canceled and not processed, they refused and said I would have to wait for the approval letter, I repeated multiple times that at the store I believed I was providing information for a store rewards program only, did not intend to apply for or open a credit card account and asked to for the application to be withdrawn, they still refused and told me to wait for the approval letter. I did not knowingly consent to apply for or open a credit card account, I feel mislead and feel like I fell for a scam.
