I opened an account with US Bank through their website under a new checking account bonus for new customers. The terms were outlined in their website and still available there. The terms were simple, open an account by XX/XX/XXXX and fulfill several requirements including ; opening the account by XX/XX/XXXX, later changed to by XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, funding the account within XXXX days, signing up to online banking within XXXX days, enrolling in direct deposit and have at least XXXX direct deposits within XXXX days of account opening and if I had over {$8000.00} in direct deposits within the XXXX days, I would receive {$450.00} after completing all the requirements. I noticed a glitch in their tracking link where I could see my progress to receive the reward that said I had not opened an account yet even though the account had been opened for over a month. A XXXX for US Bank said not to worry and that the bonus would be added to the checking account after XXXX days. I reached out a second time on XX/XX/XXXX and was told they would escalate the issue and to expect a call back within a week. After not hearing from them I reached out again on XXXX and was told to expect a call back within XXXX business days. After no hearing from them I went to their branch and was told they could not help and I then asked to close my account if they would not honor their promotion. They moved forward and closed the account. The same day I reached out again and was told they had reviewed the account and the terms and the promotion and was told I would get a check in the mail since the account was in closing. As of this complaint, I have not heard from the bank and have not received the bonus. I do not have any documentation as the bank would not send any emails but according to their multiple representatives, all the notes are available in their systems and linked to my account.
